13 Reasons Why You Need to Get Fit and Healthy

Every human being in their right mindset wants to be fit and healthy—there’s no denying it. Maybe you don’t say it out loud because you don’t want to offend your fat friend, but deep down, we all crave it.

Some people who don’t prioritize fitness just haven’t experienced how good life feels when you are truly fit.

But here’s the deal: just wanting it isn’t enough. You need to put it high on your list of priorities.

We all have our own priority lists: money, business, family, kids, video games, Netflix, gym—in some order. If you really want to be fit and healthy, you just have to bump it up higher on that list.

And to help you do that, here are 13 compelling reasons why getting fit and healthy should be a top priority. The last one’s my favorite.

1. Increased Energy Levels

If you’ve never experienced high energy, you have no idea what you’re missing. Remember how weak and drained you felt when you were sick, lying in bed? High energy feels like the exact opposite.

Having more energy changes your life. You get stuff done—whether it’s work, family, or your relationships. Energy fuels success.

2. Enhanced Mental Health

The mind is complex, but let’s simplify it: if you’re mentally strong, life is better. Period.

When you’re fit and healthy, a lot of unnecessary stuff like sadness, anxiety, and brain fog fades away. Almost every one of my clients has experienced this.

3. Better Sleep Quality

Sleep isn’t a luxury—it’s essential. It’s how your body heals physically and mentally.

Most of the body’s “medicine” kicks in during deep sleep. And the best time to heal? Between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. It’s something to do with the sun and Earth’s rotation—it made sense when I heard it.

If you’re struggling to fall asleep, it’s often because you’re not tired enough. Get productive. Move more. Fitness naturally balances your hormones and reduces stress, helping your body relax and promoting better sleep. Your body will crave rest.

4. Improved Longevity

Nobody wants to die early. But it’s not just about living longer—it’s about living better.

Ever heard of Jack LaLanne? The man towed 70 boats connected by a rope while swimming a mile. At 70 years old.

People seriously underestimate how good life can feel even at an older age.

5. Give Back to Your Tribe

If you love your family, you need to get fit for them. They deserve the best version of you.

Some men say they’d die for their family. I say—why not live for them? We’re not in an era where you need to die protecting your family. You need to stay healthy and strong to care for them.

6. Stronger Immune System

There are 30 to 40 thousand distinct diseases that we know of. How do you decide which ones to fight?

It’s simple: strengthen your immune system so you can fight back against anything. Keep your defenses strong.

7. Better Digestion

Your gut is your second brain—that’s why people say “gut feeling.” If your digestion is messed up, there’s no way you’ll feel good.

Imagine going on your dream vacation but feeling nauseous or constipated. Nothing worse than that. Trust me, better digestion makes everything in life better.

8. Improved Confidence

Confidence is everything. When you’re fit, you speak and walk differently.

Imagine yourself slouched on the couch in loose clothes. Now picture yourself in a sharp suit. Your body language changes completely

that’s exactly what being fit does to you.

9. Increased Productivity

Productivity gives life meaning. Unless you’re a monk meditating in the Himalayas, you need to get things done.

Most of the time, you feel empty because you’re not productive. And the reason you’re not productive? You don’t feel like it.

Fitness solves that.

10. Enhanced Physical Appearance

There are two types of good looks:

  1. The kind you’re born with (face shape, height, etc.).

  2. The kind you earn by being fit and healthy.

You can’t change the first one. But the second? That’ll take you far enough to stop worrying about the first one.

Basically you will stop worrying about stuff you can’t control.

11. Stronger Offspring

Our true purpose in life is to have kids and give them a good life.

If you’re fit and strong, you’re more likely to raise stronger kids—not just genetically, but through habits too. I grew up eating unhealthy breakfasts because that’s what my parents ate. Now I eat eggs, and that’s what my kids will eat.

Parents who feed their kids junk and make them obese? That’s practically a crime.

12. Better Work Management

Decision-making, problem-solving, and tolerance all have limits. When you’re not fit, you hit those limits faster.

But when you’re healthy, your capacity to handle work improves dramatically. I’ve seen it firsthand.

13. Improved Sex Life

This is self explanatory i guess

These are just 13 reasons—there are countless more. But these should be enough to help you prioritize fitness.
